The Richard Mille RM 055 “Bubba Watson” is a high-performance timepiece developed in collaboration with the professional golfer, engineered to withstand the intense forces generated during a golf swing. This limited edition of 50 pieces elevates the model with a luxurious combination of advanced materials and diamond setting.
The tonneau-shaped case, measuring approximately 42 × 50 × 13.05 mm, features a rose gold mid-case paired with Carbon TPT bezel and caseback. The bezel is set with approximately 200 VVS diamonds (~2.35 carats), creating a striking contrast between technical construction and high-jewelry execution.
The skeletonized dial reveals the manual-winding Caliber RMUL2, constructed from grade 5 titanium with PVD and Titalyt-treated baseplate and bridges for enhanced rigidity. The movement includes torque and function indicators, delivering real-time performance feedback while maintaining exceptional structural integrity.
Designed for durability, the movement is capable of withstanding accelerations exceeding 500 Gs, ensuring reliability under extreme conditions. It offers approximately 55 hours of power reserve, combining robustness with precision.
